Beach of the Marineta Casiana in Denia is the beach that borders the town center on the south, near La Marina de Denia, 15 minutes from the port on foot.
It is a very quiet beach, with a beautiful walk along its entire length that marks the beginning of the Las Rotas promenade. Ideal for walking, running or cycling. It is not as crowded as Raset Beach in the north.
It is perfect to go with children, since the water does not start to cover them until they practically reach Ibiza, so one can be relatively more relaxed … In addition, being between two breakwaters, the water is usually calm.
It has bathrooms, Red Cross post, accessible areas for people with reduced mobility, bins … quite complete, really. Ah! And a very nice beach bar where they do concerts from time to time at sunset.
Disadvantages? The shore is usually full of remains of Posidonia (a typical seaweed from this area), which in sight can take a little back, but in reality it is something natural and harmless that does not do if it does not show the good health of the waters. They often clean it often, but there is a specific day when the bathroom is not very appealing. But that’s what the beach bar is for 😉
