Fora Mur street Denia is located a few metres from the port of Denia and the main street Marqués de Campo. It is a quiet street where you can find very old houses, offices and also some shops.
It is a beautiful street where it is pleasant to walk with family or friends, enjoying the sea breeze.
The street is “cut” in two, with an upper and a lower part, separated by a stone wall which, in ancient times, delimited the population inside the fortifications of the castle of Denia. This is why its name Fora-Mur means “Outside the wall” in Valencian. The upper part of the street leads directly to a series of narrow streets with very little traffic or other motorised vehicles. Following these streets, we find the way to the entrance of the Castle of Denia, which is very pleasant to visit, with an incomparable view of the whole city of Denia.
At the end of the Fora Mur street Denia there is a beautiful fountain surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes if you want to have a drink in this small square.
