The Marqués de Campo street is the main street, the most commercial and is considered the center. It goes from the Glorieta del País Valencià to the port.
Marqués de Campo street has a large influx of people who walk or go shopping (especially on the weekend), since we find multiple shops, cafes, bars and restaurants that are open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays all year round to take out Make the most of this busy location in Denia. In addition, the street is closed from Saturday afternoon and Sunday so that vehicle traffic does not interfere with the tranquility of people who walk.
Currently it is permanently pedestrian due to the special measures implemented by the Denia City Council to increase the amplitude of the pedestrian areas due to the particular time in which we find ourselves.
During the week it is one of the liveliest streets in Denia as well, and there are numerous offices and businesses that are here, banks, notaries, lawyers, private doctors … But it is always advisable to access it on foot, since during the week the parking area is paid and it is difficult to find a place to park.
Many events in the city take place on the Marqués de Campo street, such as the Three Wise Men parade, Moors and Christians parades, entry of bulls in the patron saint festivities of July, markets and others.
Walking up and down and down is very pleasant, large trees provide shade for the path in the summer months, and the winter months are the way to find some atmosphere in such a seasonal city.
