What to see in Denia, day 1
It would be interesting if you choose a day with few clouds and sunny to enjoy both the beach and the views offered by the castle of Denia. You will even be able to see the coast of Cullera or Ibiza.
Las Marinas de Denia
What better way to start your stay than breathing in the fresh Mediterranean air during a stroll along the beaches of Las Marinas, which stretch for several kilometres. In fact, Las Marinas is a group of beaches. Punta del Raset beach, Albaranas beach, Les Bovetes, Molins beach, Les Deveses, all with fine sand, and Almadrava, with pebbles.
A visit to Denia Castle is a must
The Castle of Denia is a historic place in the city with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean. It is a medieval castle from the 11th century, located on the top of a hill overlooking the city and the Mediterranean Sea. A visit to the castle is one of the highlights of the city. Here you can learn about the history of the city through exhibitions and reenactments of historical scenes. There is also a watchtower that offers a panoramic view of the city and the sea.
You can also take the opportunity to stroll around the historic centre of Denia. Just below the castle is the magnificent Constitution square, delimited by the Town Hall of Denia, the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción and the Council square with the Tunnel of Denia.

To rest your legs a bit after the climb to the castle of Denia, what better way to discover the history of the city from prehistoric times to the present day than visiting the Archaeological Museum of Denia. Stroll along Les Rotes in Denia
On this second day, we recommend a walk along the promenade of Les Rotes. This promenade offers a wonderful view of the Mediterranean. It is full of restaurants and beaches, smaller and quieter than Las Marinas, with rocky coves and transparent waters, ideal for scuba diving. This walk starts just after the port of La Marina de Denia, in the continuity of Marineta Casiana beach and ends at the end of Les Rotes, near the Torre del Hierro (also known as Torre del Gerro).
Visit to the Toy Museum in Denia
Take the opportunity to take a walk, have a drink or have dinner in a restaurant in the centre or in the port, as the Toy Museum is in the centre of Denia.

Ethnological Museum in Denia
Not far from the archaeological museum you visited the day before, you will find the ethnological museum, which represents the habitat of the 19th century bourgeoisie, enriched by the sultana trade. In this museum you will find all the customs of the city of Denia.
The district of Baix La Mar in Denia
Enjoy the Mediterranean climate strolling through the Baix La Mar neighbourhood. This area is one of the most traditional in the city of Denia. Here you will find an attractive area with many restaurants and bars such as els Magazinos, ideal to end the day well.
What to see in Denia, day 4
To make an excursion inside the Montgó mountain make sure it is a good day, neither too hot nor too cold. And if it is summer, we recommend you to go early in the morning.
El Montgó in Denia for nature lovers
For a more sporty day, we recommend exploring the Montgó. This is a 753 metre high mountain which offers hiking trails and panoramic views of the city and the sea. There are many trails for all levels of ability, with shorter or longer walks depending on your desires. The park is also known for its unique flora and fauna, with many species of birds and Mediterranean plants.

Many people take advantage of the excursion to visit the famous Pare Pere hermitage “Padre Pedro” (Father Peter’s Hermitage).

Port of Denia
The port of El Portet of Denia is a busy port where you can see boats and yachts. There are also ferries to the neighbouring islands of Ibiza and Mallorca, as well as to the city of Algeciras in southern Spain. You can also sample fresh seafood in the harbour restaurants or enjoy a drink with a beautiful view of the mountain, the castle and the boats.
The Hippies Market in Denia
Close to the port of El Portet in Denia, you will find the Hippies Market, with its colourful stalls and accessories for fashion, decoration and many other products.
Next to this market, you can admire the monument of the fisherman.
What to see in Denia, day 6
The House of Culture for those interested in art
This is a modernist building built in 1925, which houses exhibitions and cultural events. It is a beautiful example of modernist architecture, with decorative elements in ceramics and wrought iron. There is also a library on the first floor of this building.
Jaume I Park is a must to see in Denia in one week
Next to the Casa de la Cultura there is a square, the Jaume I square, which has a small and pleasant park where you can relax and watch your children play in the buildings built for this purpose. Not far from this square is the Torrecremada park, very quiet and perfect for a picnic with family or friends.
Loreto Street in Denia
Take advantage of the fact that you are in this area to take a shortcut along the Alicante Avenue to Loreto street, a street full of typical restaurants that will also surprise you with its old façades. Loreto Street was the main street connecting the port of Denia with the cities of Valencia and Alicante.

Denia city centre
